Sal y Mar Rooftop Bar

The Aloft/Element Midtown Tampa boasts an rooftop restaurant and bar serving 185 seats in its sprawling 4,700 square feet.  Translated Salt and Sea, the logo boasts abstract waves dusted with salty spray.   Sal y Mar (Salt & Sea) is a Tulum-inspired boho beach bar where you can lap up the salt and sea while sipping a craft cocktail and watching the sun set on the Tampa skyline.  The design essence is carried through the project with natural textures, bamboo ceiling, hanging rattan chairs, teak root tables, and custom curated art and signage.   Sal y Mar features back to back indoor and outdoor bars with carved stone in a striking pattern forming the bar face.  Ample glazing allows the guests to experience outdoors from within, while sitting under a canopy of hanging greenery.  Although set in a midtown development with sweeping views of downtown Tampa, old world influence is fused into the design to induce a casual, yet sophisticated nature. Every component of the restaurant is focused on telling the story, whether it be a succulent in hand-carved wooden pot gracing the table tops, or a hammered copper fruit bowl on the bar, or the tailored & befitting accoutrement of the bartenders.
